Workshop director: Prof. Dror Meirow

The fertility preservation workshop at the Ovarian Club meeting is a hands-on clinical and laboratory program designed for medical doctors, embryologists and scientists who are interested in learning, discussing and practicing principals, clinical issues and different techniques of fertility preservation.

The workshop will focus on cryopreservation and transplantation of ovarian cortical tissue. Lectures will focus on tissue harvesting, laboratory techniques, tissue transport, tissue evaluation and storing and documentation.  Transplantation of ovarian tissue techniques and success rates will be presented as well, the safety of ovarian tissue cryopreservation. Clinical sessions will include consultations, decision making and patients’ follow–up.

The surgical & embryology laboratory sessions are hands-on exercises with live tissue. Each participant will obtain practical knowledge about the steps involved in the procedures of reparation, cryopreservation, thawing and transplantation the ovarian tissue.

Pre-registration needed

Each participant, in the workshop, will receive a certificate for their participation
